Decoration Description: The fun, dance, shlokas, celebration, joy and sweets mark the arrival of Lord Ganesha in our homes. The whole country celebrates the festive occasion of Ganeshotsav with extreme zest. To please the deity, every year we think of new and innovative ideas, ideas for decoration which not just look great but also are pocket friendly and also keeping in mind the environment hazards, we try to keep it eco-friendly and try not to use thermocoal or use minimal of it. My theme has been kept simple, keeping in mind the daily routine of a Mumbaikar. The most important aspect taken care is the traffic. In the theme you can see that the procession has not impacted any traffic and the road transport is smooth. The theme depicts the journey of welcoming(Aagman) our deity in a very cultural way. The Vahana is a beautifully designed peacock Rath(Mayur Rath),peacock represents arrogance and pride over its beauty and the vahaan is in honour of the most popular Lord’s Birthday, popularly worshiped for his ability to remove obstacles and bring good fortune. The daily routine of hindi music used for the for any celebration in India has also been replaced with with our traditional instrument called Dhol and Tasha The celebration usually involves friends and family, neighbourhood who together pray to the god so that every new activity that is started is successfully completed without any obstacles. The theme also shows how the neighbourhood gets a clear view of the beautiful aagman to our home. We also wanted to convey the message to todays generation that the Ganesh festival can be celebrated through our religious rituals instead of new generation using Disco lights and DJ musics and loudspeakers.
