Decoration Theme: Recycle, Reuse, Ecofriendly Theme
Decoration Description: Ecofriendly decoration means using each and every item which is either
recyclable/recycled or biodegradable. 1. Green Ganesha idol : Decoration starts from making Ganesh idol green,
which we follow every year. "Shadu"(type of clay) Idol, painted using
natural colours and preferably of smaller size to reduce water pollution. 2. Green decoration material Newspapers,
Colour paper sheets (yellow, red, green, white),
Cloth (reused cloth of a *'Pheta*', type of a turban),
Bricks broken pieces,
Earthen pots,
Cane basket 3. Ambiance: Visuals- Symbols of 'recycle', 'reuse', 'ecofriendly' to communicate and
inspire the visitors for going green theme. Using calligraphy (ancient art) - An ambiance is created by hand written
calligraphic strokes on the wall around Ganesha, ancient holy *'Shlokas'*
as well as of lines by great Saints of Maharashtra. Environment and feel - Entire decoration has been given a simple, earthy
look which you might feel resembling to village life by using those
beautiful earthen pots, bricks, cane basket, etc. This helps to communicate
how the lifestyle of our old generations was greener and environment
friendly and we should get inspiration from them to restrict ourselves from
getting influenced by consumerism.
